The Knowledge Building is a key project led by the Fundació Althaia de Manresa, which has secured the collaboration of the Fundació d’Estudis Superiors de Ciències de la Salut de la UVic-UCC —owner of the Faculty of Medicine—, and the Fundació Universitària del Bages (FUB-UManresa).
This facility is dedicated to teaching and research in health sciences. It will host the Medicine studies currently taught at the Hospital de Sant Joan de Déu. The project, which Althaia had planned for years, was unblocked in 2025 and is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2026.

Construction began last October and is progressing well, prioritizing the section designated for Medicine classes. The building is located directly opposite the Hospital de Sant Joan de Déu, aiming to become a meeting point for researchers, professionals, and students. The total cost of the project amounts to 7 million euros.
