The XXVIII Historic Monte-Carlo Rally will hold a time control checkpoint in Sant Domènec square in Manresa on Sunday, February 1, 2026, reviving an 18-year tradition.

The regularity event, which was a regular fixture in the capital of Bages for 18 consecutive years, returns thanks to an agreement between the RACC Mobility Club and the Automobile Club de Monaco. Sant Domènec square will become the setting for this time control, a key point for drivers, co-drivers, and fans.
The rally will start from the Avinguda de la Catedral in Barcelona on the afternoon of the same Sunday, February 1, 2026. A total of 28 teams have chosen the Catalan capital as their starting point, including 14 Spanish teams, 7 French, and 3 Argentinian. Among the participants, the Spanish drivers Luis Climent and Carles Jiménez stand out, having achieved second place overall in the 2025 edition.
The most represented brand in this classic caravan is Porsche, with eight units of the 911 models and one 914. Also present will be five Autobianchi A-112 Abarth and three Volkswagen (two Golf and one Scirocco). Participating vehicles are restricted to models that competed in any edition of the Monte-Carlo Rally between the years 1911 and 1986.
After passing through Manresa, participants will head north, crossing roads in Vallès and the C-16, passing through the Cadí tunnel to Puigcerdà, before finally entering French territory. The teams will gather in Valence (France) on Monday, February 2, to begin the competitive route, which will culminate on Friday, February 6 after 18 regularity stages.
