The Centre de Lectura de Reus has concluded the Presidentes series, an initiative analyzing the role of women leading major entities and institutions in the Baix Camp region.

The final session featured Patrícia Terradellas, president of El Círcol, and Noemí Llauradó, president of the Tarragona Provincial Council. Moderated by journalist Natàlia Rodríguez, the discussion highlighted the ongoing exhaustion women face in professional advancement and work-life balance.

"As exhausting as being Catalan."

The project has gathered pioneers such as Sandra Guaita, the first female mayor of Reus; Empar Pont, the first female president of the Centre de Lectura; and Mònica Balsells, president of the Reus Deportiu club.
The event concluded with a collective reflection on the fragility of rights achieved since the 19th century. Speakers emphasized the need to defend equality every day, beyond International Women's Day, in response to rising discourses questioning social progress.
