To mark the centenary of their move to Sitges, the family commissioned art historian Clara Beltrán to research their heritage. The study in the Reus Municipal Archive uncovered 1916 invoices linking the first Artur Ramon Vendrell to a jewelry and antique shop located on Major Street, opposite the Centre de Lectura.
“"I have started to feel more like a native of Reus."
The family business flourished during Reus's economic boom in the early 20th century before relocating to Sitges in 1926. Today, Artur Ramon Art is based in Barcelona and has sold masterpieces to world-class institutions such as the Louvre and the Prado Museum.
