Renowned illustrator Pilarín Bayés visited Reus on Tuesday, April 14, as part of the activities leading up to Gaudí Year 2026, where she participated in the distribution of books about Antoni Gaudí to primary school students.

The visit, organized by the Associació d'Amics de Gaudí with the support of the Reus City Council and the Diputació de Tarragona, included an official reception in the Plenary Hall of the City Council by Mayor Sandra Guaita and several councilors. Subsequently, the delegation proceeded to the Gaudí Centre to show the space to the artist.
Later, Pilarín Bayés moved to the Diputació's School of Art and Design in Reus, where she gave a talk titled Strokes that Tell Stories. This activity was aimed at 3rd and 4th-grade primary school students from Misericòrdia, Pompeu Fabra, and Prat de la Riba schools, who received the book Petita història de Gaudí (Little History of Gaudí), illustrated by her.
After the first conference, Bayés offered a second talk specifically for the students of the School of Art and Design. The day concluded with a lunch at El Círcol.
The distribution of these books is part of the initiatives to celebrate Gaudí Year 2026. In total, approximately 2,400 copies of Petita història de Gaudí will be distributed to 3rd and 4th-grade primary students from public and subsidized schools in the city. Additionally, I2 children from public nurseries and I3 children will receive the book TOP 10 Gaudí, an immersive experience for learning art and numbers.
