The second edition of the Cursa Fem Salut Sant Joan in Reus opens registration this Tuesday, February 3, aiming to reach 3,000 participants on April 12.

The event, which commemorates the World Day of Physical Activity, will take place on Sunday, April 12, starting and finishing at the Hospital Universitari Sant Joan de Reus. Two circuits are offered: a 5 km run or walk through the streets of Reus and an adapted 1 km route around the hospital for patients.
The organizers of the 2nd Cursa Fem Salut Sant Joan have set the challenge of reaching 3,000 registered participants, nearly a thousand more than in the previous edition. As a novelty, the "zero bib" or solidarity registration has been incorporated to allow donations from those who cannot participate physically.
The funds raised will be entirely allocated to the development of the assistance project "Prescription and monitoring of therapeutic physical exercise in pediatric patients with chronic pathology," which was selected in the competitive call "Fem salut, fem equip."
The initiative has institutional support from the Reus City Council through Reus Esport i Lleure, the Baix Camp Sports Council, the Tarragona Provincial Council, the Hospital Friends Association, and the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Furthermore, students of medicine, physiotherapy, and nursing from the URV will serve as volunteers.
