The Generalitat Firefighters tackled two separate fires on Wednesday night in the province of Tarragona, one severely damaging a farmhouse in Reus and another affecting a home in Montblanc, with all occupants escaping safely.

The most serious incident occurred in the municipality of Reus, involving an isolated farmhouse located on the Camí de Bellissens. The fire, which broke out on Wednesday night, completely destroyed the ground floor of the building. Four fire crews from Reus and Tarragona stations were dispatched to the scene, where the fire was fully developed upon arrival.
Although the tenants managed to evacuate safely and there were no injuries, the Firefighters cordoned off the entrance to the farmhouse due to the structural risk posed by the damage. Extinguishing efforts were carried out from the exterior, followed by ventilation. The site was left pending inspection by the municipal architect, and crews withdrew around eleven o'clock at night.
Separately, at 9:23 PM on Wednesday, an alert was received regarding a fire in a house in Montblanc, specifically at number 4 on Carrer Maria Mestres. In this case, the flames originated in the upstairs bathroom, affecting 90% of that room.
Two fire crews from Montblanc and Valls responded quickly. The occupants had also managed to leave the house before the emergency services arrived. The rest of the upper floor was affected by smoke and heat, while the ground floor suffered only smoke damage. Operations concluded around ten thirty at night.
