Regarding booking channels, online reservations accounted for 45% of the total, followed by the direct channel (39%) and the central reservation system (16%). Compared to the previous year, online bookings have decreased, while those made through the central reservation system have grown significantly, from 9.5% to 15.9%. The vast majority of bookings, 86%, were individual.
International tourism predominated this summer, representing 57% of the total, with a slight increase in domestic tourism compared to the previous summer. June saw the highest presence of foreign tourists, at 60%. The main origins were Catalunya, France, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the community of Madrid, and Germany. Catalan and French tourists saw the largest growth in overnight stays, while Germans and English decreased.
Holidays were the primary reason for stay (48%), particularly in August (59%). Business trips were the second most common reason (39%), with a peak in June (54%). Business and sports motivations saw a slight decrease, while holiday and health reasons increased.
Hotel entrepreneurs in the Baix Llobregat maintain a notable assessment of occupancy and business performance, scoring 7.8 out of 10. Although July recorded the highest ratings, they slightly decreased compared to the previous summer (8).
The average price in hotel establishments stood at €115, a 3% increase from the previous summer. July saw the highest rate increase, at +3.7%.
