Singer and songwriter Maria Arnal presented her debut solo album Ama this March in Gavà, a project that blends human emotion with cutting-edge digital experimentation.

During an event in Gavà, Arnal detailed how her new 13-track record features a digital clone of her own voice, developed in collaboration with the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. The artist balances this futuristic approach with the use of a shruti, an ancient Indian instrument.

"We must fight for our digital rights."

The album's title, Ama, carries multiple meanings, including a tribute to her late cousin. Arnal also shared that her music career began by chance after a leg injury while working at Teatre Lliure led her back to playing the guitar during her recovery.
