The Atlètic Bellvei football club, located in Baix Penedès, is facing a severe squad crisis in mid-January following the departure of the coach and several players, jeopardizing its continuity in Tercera Catalana.

The situation worsened with the departure of coach Miquel Corredor, leaving the team with serious difficulties in completing match rosters. This has resulted in heavy defeats, such as 10-0 against Torredembarra and 4-9 against Pallaresos, highlighting the lack of personnel.
The turning point came at the Atlètic Valls field, where the club could not gather the minimum required players and lost the match administratively 3-0. The nightmare continued in Calafell, where Atlètic Bellvei could only show up with seven players and had to force an injury to stop the game when they were losing 3-0 in the 7th minute.

The club is working hard to reverse the situation, as the only current objective is to solve the squad problem and avoid withdrawing from the Tercera Catalana competition.

In order to rebuild the team, the board has hired Jordi Castro, formerly of Llorenç, as the new coach. The coach's priority mission is to find new players to strengthen the squad and ensure the senior team can finish the season.
Despite the sporting crisis, the long-term future is viewed with greater optimism thanks to the start of artificial turf installation work at the municipal field in Bellvei this week. This project will allow the Tercera Catalana senior team to return home, leaving behind the exile in Santa Oliva, and will boost youth football.
