The company Veolia reinforces its commitment to water sustainability in Catalonia through innovative educational programs, coinciding with the celebration of World Environmental Education Day on January 26.

World Environmental Education Day, celebrated on January 26, underscores the importance of training to address environmental challenges. Given the climate crisis, Veolia, as an active agent in its ESG strategy, emphasizes the need to prepare new generations for sustainable water management.
The new educational proposal from Veolia in Catalonia is Mission H₂O, aimed at upper primary school students. This program updates the previous Aqualogia, which reached over 40,000 students, and includes content on circular economy and climate challenges through experiential and experimental activities.
The traveling exhibition Operation Water, which has visited over a hundred Catalan municipalities since October 2020, seeks to raise awareness about the availability and responsible use of water resources. This free exhibition has facilitated the participation of nearly 6,000 young people in school sessions with workshop leaders.
Finally, the Water Museum (Museu de les Aigües), located at the Cornellà Central (inaugurated in 1909), promotes knowledge of the integral water cycle. This space, combining industrial heritage and outreach, has received over a million visitors and more than 357,000 students since its opening in 2004, and continues to supply Barcelona and its metropolitan area.
