More than 23,000 people took to the streets of Barcelona this March 8th to celebrate International Women's Day, focusing on gender equality and a collective call for global peace.

The main demonstration, organized by the 8-M Assembly, marched from Jardinets de Gràcia to Arc de Triomf. Participants wore purple scarves and carried banners with the slogan Not one step back, highlighting the fight against fascism and colonial imperialism.

"Always, but especially now, being a feminist means saying No to war."

Across Spain, the 8M mobilizations addressed the rise of denialism regarding gender violence. While cities like Madrid saw divided marches due to internal discrepancies, the overall message remained focused on human rights and solidarity with women in conflict zones.
