The mayor of Berga, Ivan Sànchez, has confirmed that new bus lines between the city and Barcelona, promised by the Generalitat, will be activated this April, although the relocation of the main stop has not yet been finalized.

The mayor assured that the Generalitat has not communicated any changes to the plans, maintaining the forecast to start the service this month. This increase in services, managed by the company ALSA, requires a change in the current stop's location to accommodate the higher volume of vehicles.
The municipal government's intention is to move the stop to the Solsona road, near the Parc dels Soldats. Initially, the measure was proposed to improve safety, avoiding the slope that has caused vehicle incidents. Now, the need for a larger space for the increased number of buses is an additional factor.

"No one has told us there is any problem."

However, the relocation has been halted by opposition from residents in the Parc dels Soldats area. The mayor has committed to negotiating with the neighborhood and not proceeding with the relocation until an agreement is reached, with a next meeting scheduled for next week.
In parallel, the agreement for the construction of the definitive station in the Rasa dels Molins, agreed upon by all municipal groups almost 400 days ago, remains unsigned. This infrastructure must include a new direct access road from outside the city. Sànchez indicated that the agreement "is on its way" and that responsibilities between the City Council and the Generalitat are being finalized, without specifying concrete dates.
