The organization recognized the association's work in promoting mountain cuisine, local agri-food products, and the gastronomic identity of Cerdanya, as well as its contribution to gastronomic tourism in the Pyrenees.
The G! Awards, organized by the Costa Brava Girona Tourism Board of the Diputació de Girona, celebrate the trajectory, innovation, and contribution of companies, professionals, and entities to the territory's tourism development. The event, held at the Municipal Theatre of Lloret, gathered around 150 people.
In the honorary section, the G! Francesc Xiquet i Sabater Award for business projects went to Camping Las Dunas in Sant Pere Pescador. The G! Josep Pujol i Aulí Award for professional work was posthumously granted to Josep Capellà i Hereu for his contribution to sustainable tourism. Hostal de la Gavina in Castell-Platja d'Aro and S'Agaró received the G! Special Jordi Comas i Matamala Award for its nearly a century of history and commitment to hospitality excellence.
The gala was presided over by Miquel Noguer, president of the Diputació de Girona and the Costa Brava Girona Tourism Board, with the attendance of institutional representatives such as the mayor of Lloret de Mar, Adrià Lamelas, and the delegate of the Generalitat Government in Girona, Xavier Guitart.
The Cerdanya Pyrenean Cuisine Association comprises about fifteen local restaurants aiming to promote quality cuisine using native products like Cerdanya potatoes, Talltendre turnips, and Puigcerdà pears, actively participating in culinary tourism.
To achieve its goals, the association participates in national and international tourism and gastronomic fairs and events, and organizes tastings within the region, often linked to leisure, sports, or nature activities.
