This adaptation of the zarzuela, a classic from 1890 by Joaquín Valverde and Sinesio Delgado, was staged in Montblanc under the musical direction of Gerard Moreno. The production maintained the original 19th-century aesthetic while incorporating new musical arrangements created by Moreno himself, offering a fresh yet respectful rendition of the work.
Passions, jealousy, and misunderstandings are at the heart of a musical and comedic work that did not disappoint the audience, who enjoyed a magnificent performance by over twenty local actors and actresses.
Following its success in Montblanc, La Baralla Francesa by Companyia Mutis is set to embark on a tour. The first confirmed date for this tour will be on May 10 in Figuerola del Camp, providing another opportunity to experience this acclaimed zarzuela.
