The duo The Tyets from Mataró, composed of Oriol de Ramon and Xavier Coca, received the award for best urban music album for their work Café para los más cafeteros. This album solidifies their position as one of the most prominent urban pop phenomena in Catalan, thanks to their everyday lyrics, humor, and commitment to normalizing Catalan in commercial sounds.
The recognition of The Tyets and Judit Neddermann underscores the vitality and diversity of both emerging and established musical talent in the Maresme region.
Meanwhile, Judit Neddermann from Vilassar de Mar was awarded best singer-songwriter album, shared with guitarist Pau Figueres. With an already consolidated career, Neddermann is known for her delicate and personal voice, blending influences from folk, jazz, and Mediterranean song, always maintaining a strong connection to the local area.
Beyond the Maresme presence, the gala also honored other major names in the Catalan scene. Alosa was the big winner with three awards, including best folk album and breakthrough artist. Ginestà was recognized for best pop-rock album and best song, while Oques Grasses received awards for best artist and best live performance.
The event included tributes to key figures in Catalan rock, with special awards for Sopa de Cabra and Lax'n'Busto, and a lifetime achievement award for Sílvia Pérez Cruz, highlighting the richness and diversity of the Catalan music landscape.
