The C-32 highway has been closed in both directions near Sant Pere de Ribes, in Garraf, due to an accident involving an overturned truck that spilled 7,000 liters of corrosive liquid.

The incident occurred this Thursday from 1:48 PM at kilometer 26.2 of the road. A truck overturned heading towards Barcelona, and its cargo spilled onto the roadway in the direction of Tarragona, forcing a complete closure of traffic.
The Servei Català de Trànsit (Catalan Traffic Service) has implemented detours via lateral roads to manage vehicle flow. The Bombers de la Generalitat (Catalan Firefighters) mobilized seven units to respond to the emergency.
The situation led Protecció Civil (Civil Protection) to activate the alert phase of the Transcat plan, as the truck spilled approximately 7,000 liters of a corrosive organic liquid, affecting both the roadway and the surrounding natural environment.
