A well-known comedian and his partner, a veterinarian, have introduced the board game El Corral, which transforms goat herd management and artisan cheese production into a fun and educational experience for the whole family.

The new board game, titled El Corral and published by Mediterrània Games, is inspired by the alpine goat farm the couple owns in Muntanyola, in the Osona region. The main goal is for players to learn how to manage a herd, produce artisan cheese, and understand the natural cycles of the primary sector.
The initiative stems from the family's passion for board games and the desire to make knowledge about the primary sector more accessible. The creators have emphasized the importance of the pedagogical aspect, as they have observed a significant lack of understanding in this area, even in rural environments.

"With the guided tours we offer, we have realized that there is a great lack of knowledge about the primary sector."

The game, suitable for children aged 8 and up, places participants in the role of shepherds and cheesemakers. It starts with three 'segalles' (young goats that have not yet given birth) and requires managing food, milk, and male cards, all while monitoring the herd's health to prevent issues like mastitis.
One of the most entertaining features of the game is the cards that allow players to 'annoy' others. These include the bureaucracy card, which causes a player to lose a turn, or the drought card, which steals food. There is also the 'La més cabrona' card, which simulates the impact of a large supermarket opening near small producers.
The game's illustrations, created by Dani Gómez, are based on the real animals living on the farm in Muntanyola, including sheepdogs like Drop and the protection dog Mussap.
