The Girona City Council has redesigned the layout for the upcoming Sant Jordi festival on April 23rd due to ongoing structural repairs at Plaça de Catalunya.

Vice-mayor Gemma Geis confirmed that professional booksellers and florists will now occupy a route stretching from the central square to Gran Via de Jaume I. This change avoids the construction zones currently affecting Carrer Nou and the eastern side of the plaza.
Local organizations and charities will be moved to Plaça de Pompeu Fabra and Plaça de l'Hospital. Traditional spots like the Pont de Pedra and Rambla de la Llibertat will remain unchanged, ensuring the city's most important cultural event proceeds smoothly despite the urban works.
