The mayor of Premià de Mar, Rafa Navarro, denounced the poor state of the train station after a collapse, while the Government confirms the inclusion of a second station in the Can Pou neighborhood within the Rodalies Plan.

The latest storm episode in Catalunya caused a canopy to detach at the Premià de Mar station platform, highlighting the serious conservation deficiencies it has suffered for years. Mayor Rafa Navarro harshly criticized Renfe for having “literally forgotten” a station that serves over 50,000 commuters, including Premià de Dalt and Vilassar de Dalt.

"We have a Third World service."

Despite the discontent over the current station, Navarro announced that a meeting with the Secretary of Mobility and Infrastructure, Manel Nadal, confirmed the inclusion of a second station in the Can Pou neighborhood within the expanded Rodalies Plan. This new facility would serve more than 12,000 residents.
Regarding mobility, the government's proposal to create a temporary blue zone parking lot on the Can Sanpere plot (about 2,500 square meters) has generated negative reactions. The opposition, including En Comú Podem and Crida Premianenc, criticized the lack of planning, while the Can Sanpere Association aligned with the detractors.

"It would mean privatizing again a space that cost so much to make public."

Regarding the urban future of the Transmesa and MGT properties, the government (ERC and Junts) proposes building 123 homes, a hotel, commercial premises, and underground parking. This proposal includes the transfer of 33 social rental flats managed by the City Council. The No+Pisos platform rejects the densification, but the executive assures that the final decision will only be made with maximum consensus from the plenary.
