The Amposta City Council and the local Primary Care Center (CAP) launched a specialized program this February to promote healthy aging and prevent disability among residents aged 65 and over.

Starting on February 19th, the 12-week program takes place at the Aula Km 0 in Amposta. It features a multidisciplinary approach led by health professionals to address early signs of frailty such as exhaustion, memory issues, or slow walking.
The sessions include physical training for strength and balance, nutritional guidance, and cognitive stimulation. A key component is the personalized pharmacological review, ensuring that medication management aligns with the specific needs of each elderly participant.
By integrating Social Services and community networks, the city aims to reinforce a preventive healthcare model. This initiative ensures that seniors in the Montsià region can maintain their autonomy and improve their overall well-being.
