The XXXIV Diada of the Rural School Zone (ZER) Montsià takes place this Friday, May 22nd, in La Galera, gathering students, teachers, and the educational community to promote coexistence and networking.

The town of La Galera will host the XXXIV Diada of the Rural School Zone (ZER) Montsià, an annual celebration scheduled for Friday, May 22nd. The event, organized by the five schools that make up ZER Montsià, aims to be a meeting point for students, teachers, and the entire educational community, with the goal of strengthening coexistence, collaborative work, and a sense of belonging among the centers.
The day is driven by the director of ZER Montsià, Joan Carles Galve Torres, and the director of Escola Sant Llorenç in La Galera, Núria Corbalan Solà, which is serving as host this year. It involves the collaboration of all management teams, teachers, and support staff from the participating schools: Escola Mestre Josep Roncero i Pallarès (Freginals), Escola Sant Llorenç (La Galera), Escola Sant Salvador (Godall), Escola Teresa Subirats i Mestre (Mas de Barberans), and Escola Rosa Gisbert (Masdenverge).
The opening ceremony, scheduled for 10:30 AM, will be attended by institutional representatives from the region and the Department of Education and Vocational Training, as well as local and regional officials. During the welcome, institutional speeches will be delivered, including addresses from the host school's management, the mayor of La Galera, the ZER Montsià director, and representatives from the Territorial Services of Education in Terres de l'Ebre, such as deputy director Conxita Pujol Sarroca.
The Diada will also feature a recognition event for the Red Cross, as well as various participatory activities for students and teachers, and joint performances designed to reinforce the community spirit of the gathering.
