Montsià records sharp increase in consumer and housing services during 2025

The Consumer Office doubled its activity with over 2,400 procedures, while Youth services reached 11,000 users.

The Montsià County Consumer Information Office (OCIC) concluded 2025 with a total of 2,484 procedures, marking a significant increase compared to the 1,085 cases recorded in 2024.

Most inquiries were related to basic utilities such as electricity, water, and gas, followed by telecommunications and banking. Notably, the OCIC handled 11 cross-border claims for the first time, reflecting new consumer trends in the region.

The Housing Area managed nearly 2,800 files, including rental assistance and habitability certificates. These services generated an economic impact of 1,796,606 euros, focusing on affordable housing for vulnerable families and young people.
Furthermore, County Youth Services saw a 25% increase in attendance, serving 11,062 young people. Employment and training guidance remained the most requested topics among users aged 21 to 25.
