The Sort City Council has completed the construction of a new pumptrack, a sports and recreational facility that complements the existing sports area and skatepark in the municipality, promoting physical activity and coexistence.

This new infrastructure, developed in collaboration with the Pallars Sobirà Regional Council as part of the Bike Pirineus – Pallars Sobirà project, not only has a sporting aspect but also stands out for its strong social and recreational component. Pumptracks are open, inclusive, and accessible spaces for people of all ages and skill levels, promoting outdoor exercise and shared use of public space.
These facilities become meeting points for young people and families, fostering healthy habits and revitalizing community life, especially during good weather months. In the context of Sort and the regional project, the pumptrack aims to strengthen the appeal of Pallars Sobirà as a destination linked to cycling, sports, and nature, expanding leisure options for both residents and visitors.
Although the pumptrack construction is finished, tasks such as landscaping the surrounding area into a green zone and installing lighting, benches, and a fountain are still pending to complete the space.

"We hope it will be a fun and enjoyable space for everyone, but we also want to remind you of the importance of respecting the rules of use and, especially, the safety rules detailed on the entrance panel. We appeal to everyone's responsibility and civic-mindedness."
