The Institut Mollerussa will expand its educational catalog in Mollerussa next September with a new vocational degree in Food Product Processing to meet local industrial demands.

The 2,000-hour program includes 1,000 hours of hands-on experience in local companies. This intensive dual vocational training model aims to bridge the gap between student education and the specific needs of the Pla d'Urgell labor market.
Graduates will be qualified for roles such as food processors, machinery operators, and packaging supervisors. The Agri-food sector currently accounts for 20% of the population's employment in the region, highlighting the importance of this new academic path.

"The new degree strengthens the institute's position as a reference center for the primary sector and food industry."
