The organizers of the Falset Wine Fair, featuring wines from DOQ Priorat and DO Montsant, have reported these significant figures, although they anticipate a slight increase before the event's final closing on Sunday at 8 PM.
“"It is a loyal public, mostly wine lovers from all over Catalonia who have this event marked on their calendar."
The head of the organization emphasized the strategic importance of the fair for the Priorat region. He highlighted that the event not only has a commercial aspect but also promotes wine tourism and enotourism, becoming a regional celebration that attracts visitors from both Spain and abroad.
The profile of attendees reveals an audience with a high level of knowledge about the world of wine, with a notable presence of young people in their thirties interested in aspects such as grape varieties, wineries, and the territory. This trend was reflected in the high occupancy of the scheduled tastings throughout the weekend, many of which were fully booked.
The fair will continue on Monday with a professional day at the apse of Falset Castle, organized in collaboration with Priorat Enoturisme. This gathering, taking place between ten in the morning and three in the afternoon, has approximately 200 registered participants, including distributors, restaurateurs, sommeliers, and other industry professionals. Access to this day is limited and exclusively reserved for accredited professionals, aiming to generate new commercial opportunities and strengthen professional ties between wineries from DO Montsant and DOQ Priorat.
