The renewal of the commerce platform, initially created in 2023, aims to improve the visibility of local businesses and adapt them to new market needs. The updated page provides precise data on 357 establishments spread across 15 municipalities, including address, contact, schedules, and an interactive map with geolocation for mobile devices.
The first of the new initiatives is the Sausage Route (Ruta de les Botifarres), which covers 14 artisanal butcher shops specializing in traditional onion and rice sausages. This route spans 10 municipalities in the county, including Riba-roja d'Ebre, Flix, Ascó, Móra d'Ebre, and Tivissa, and its informative brochure explains the preparation process of these emblematic products.
In parallel, the Sweet Route (Ruta Dolça) integrates 17 pastry shops and bakeries from 11 villages, such as Garcia, Benissanet, Miravet, and Rasquera. This route invites visitors to discover local confectionery gems like pastissets, ensaginades, and capsetes, also offering information on their traditional cooking and territorial relevance.
“"With these routes, we want to give voice and visibility to the master artisans and families who, generation after generation, have preserved unique flavors that define our identity as a county."
The President of the County Council, Francesc Barbero, highlighted the importance of sector digitalization to keep the villages vibrant. According to Barbero, the website update not only helps establishments compete in the digital environment but also makes it easier for both residents and visitors to find everything they need in Ribera d’Ebre.
