The Atlètic Lleida club filed a registration request with the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office on July 21 last year. The move was recently discovered by Lleida CF, which is now evaluating legal measures, claiming the crest causes clear confusion with their own registered brands from 2023.

Amidst the legal tension, local journalist Oriol Jové is documenting the history of the original Lérida Balompié founded in 1939. He is currently seeking information on eight players from the inaugural squad, including Enrique Rubió and Josep Aguilar, to finalize the club's historical records.
