The Lleida City Council has officially opened the second edition of the Palma Produccions Pro 2026 competition, aiming to boost audiovisual creation and Catalan cinema among the city's youth in the Segrià region.

Promoted by the Youth Department through the HôME program, the call for entries is open until May 4th. The contest is designed for creators aged 18 to 35 with ties to Lleida, offering free participation for individuals or creative duos.
Requirements specify that scripts must be original works written in Catalan and set entirely within the Historic Center of Lleida. This focus aims to highlight the city's heritage while fostering narrative quality and artistic innovation among participants.
The winning script will be produced by Octubre Cinema and distributed through professional film circuits. A jury of industry professionals will select the winner based on storytelling excellence, character development, and technical feasibility.
