The first prize of the Solsona Nativity Scene Contest was awarded to the work by the Setelsis School, a display noted for combining religious tradition with the modernist work of Antoni Gaudí. The winning proposal was inspired by the architect's characteristic trencadís mosaic and received the main award, endowed with 100 euros.
The remaining prizes, eight in total and endowed with 50 euros each, were distributed among classic proposals and contemporary designs. Recognitions went to Antoni Pujals Olivera, Jordi Vilà Capdevila, the El Vinyet School, Maria Claramunt Fors, Clara Guilanyà Cases, the Centre Excursionista del Solsonès, Marc Vilà Riba, and Volem Feina (Zona R).
The contest jury was formed by the Illustrated Album Reading Club of the Carles Morató Library. The award ceremony was held on Friday evening in the plenary hall of the Solsona Town Hall, with the presence of the Mayor, Judit Gisbert, and the Culture Councilor, Albert Colell.
During the same event, the prize for the Christmas Postcard Contest was also presented. This year, the award went once again to Isa Martínez, who wins for the second consecutive year. The jury for this category was composed of artists from the collective Mira l’Art.
