The Association of Hospitality Businesses of the Province of Tarragona has opened registrations for the third edition of the Tapas, Pinchos, and Tastets Contest, seeking the best provincial gastronomic creation.

The organizing entity has opened candidacies for the third edition of the Concurs de Tapes, Pintxos i Tastets de la Província de Tarragona-Joan Pedrell. This initiative aims to award the best culinary creations presented by associated bars and restaurants throughout the province.
An expert jury will evaluate the proposals based on criteria such as originality, presentation, flavor, and the use of local products. The winning tapa will have the opportunity to represent the province of Tarragona at the prestigious Campionat Nacional de Tapas i Pinchos de Madrid Fusión.
A significant novelty this year is the expansion of participation to establishments located in municipalities where the association's tapas routes are not usually organized. This measure seeks to give greater visibility to the gastronomy of the entire province.
Establishments already part of routes such as Tasta Salou, Tastum Cambrils, Tastem Torredembarra, Tastets de Tarragona, Tapa Reus, or Dgusta Vila-seca will automatically compete with the tapa they serve during the events on June 11th and 12th. Conversely, establishments without their own route must submit their candidacy by June 14th, sending a photograph and a detailed description of the tapa.
The selected semi-finalists will compete in the grand final, scheduled for July 6th at the Aula AEHT. The name of the winning tapa will be announced during the entity's 49th annual dinner.
