The awards, considered the most prestigious recognition in the sector in Catalonia, highlighted five key establishments in the Camp de Tarragona area. These include Confiteria Padreny in Reus, Xocosave (with shops in Reus and Riudoms), L'Obrador d'Oriol Rossell in El Vendrell, Cal Jan in Torredembarra, and Pastisseria Rossana in Calafell.
Cal Jan in Torredembarra has been recognized as the best pastry shop in the Camp de Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre regions.
In addition to the list of the top 50, the awards granted special distinctions. Magma BakeryLab from Barcelona was recognized as the most innovative pastry shop, while Dolços Alemany 1912 from Amposta won the award for the greatest historical value. The new La Fava d’Or de les Pastisseries award resulted in a triple tie between Morreig (Barcelona), Carrió (Barcelona), and L’Obrador d'Oriol Rosell (El Vendrell).
The Fava de Cacau jury is coordinated by specialist Marc Balaguer and composed of pastry teachers, gastronomy journalists, and pastry chefs who do not own their own establishments, thus ensuring the independence of the verdict. Other territorial winners included Tugues (Lleida), El Cigne (Catalunya Central), and Tornés (Girona).
