Easter Week has concluded with a very favorable balance for the Catalan tourism sector, with hotels and apartments recording occupancy rates above 80% across much of the territory.

During the Easter Week holidays, hotels and tourist apartments in Catalonia achieved very high occupancy figures, exceeding 80% in most areas and reaching up to 90% or full occupancy in certain locations. Favorable weather conditions and optimal snow conditions were key factors for this high demand, especially in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, Tarragona, and Lleida.
Ski resorts also contributed significantly to this success, with 95,000 ski passes sold. Despite this positive outlook, strong tramontana winds negatively affected bookings in tourist flats in Girona, although campsites and rural accommodations in the area maintained high satisfaction and occupancy.
The holidays were also influenced by the conflict in the Middle East, which, despite having a

very localized impact

on the sector, led to a reduction in traveler spending. Additionally, sporting events such as the MIC on the Costa Brava generated a significant influx of visitors, filling bars and restaurants, but also causing congestion on roads and urban centers, exceeding authorities' forecasts.
