Organized by the Teaching Delegation of the Bishopric of Urgell, the event was attended by the Bishop of Urgell and Co-Prince of Andorra, Josep-Lluís Serrano, who highlighted the event's importance as a platform for discussing the legacy for the future.
The day featured two notable lectures. Dr. David Lorenzo, director of the Institut Borja de Bioètica at Universitat Ramon Llull, presented on the ethical challenges at the beginning of life. Subsequently, Dr. Xavier Escribano, a professor at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, analyzed the tension between individual freedom and social relationships in the contemporary context, marked by interpersonal distance.
Concluding the presentations, Dr. Francesc Torralba, director of the Christian Thought Chair and a doctor in Philosophy and Theology from the University of Barcelona, offered reflections on factors contributing to a serene and dignified end of life, emphasizing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects for comprehensive care.
