The story Ot i la memòria del padrí, by Marcel·lí Mora Vilaltella from Penelles, has been honored with the 2026 Joles Sennell Award in the adult authors' category. The award ceremony took place on Saturday at the Sant Agustí Library in La Seu d'Urgell.

The contest, jointly organized by the Sant Agustí Library and RàdioSeu, recognized literary quality across various categories for children, youth, and adults. In category E (over 18), alongside winner Mora Vilaltella, La dragona que no sabia treure foc by Júlia Pubill Valverde was distinguished as a finalist. Honorable mentions went to Un cas sospitosament sospitós by Montserrat Milan Moliné, and Sol i els superherois by Marc Cortès Pastor.
In the children's and youth categories, the award for category A (10-11 years) went to El detectiu Beez by Edel Martínez Reina. In category B (12-13 years), the first prize was awarded to En Minut, el rellotge que no podia tocar quarts ni hores by Lola Majoral Fernández. Meanwhile, in category C (14-15 years), the main award was for El tren de les coses perdudes by Enit Puig Baró. Finally, in category D (16-17 years), La càmera viatgera by Teresa Martín Navas took home the first prize.
The event was attended by various authorities and sponsors, including the mayor of La Seu d'Urgell, Joan Barrera, and representatives from collaborating companies. The award, now in its tenth edition, reaffirms its commitment to promoting reading and creativity in Catalan.
The jury highlighted the imagination and quality of the submitted works, as well as the diversity of themes. The involvement of educational centers in disseminating the contest was also recognized, with book donations to several schools in the region.
