The Tàrrega City Council and the Urgell County Council launched the UrTalent project this Monday to better align vocational training with the actual requirements of the regional business landscape.

Scheduled for implementation throughout 2026, the initiative will map current educational resources and analyze labor market trends. By identifying high-growth sectors, the project seeks to improve the connection between students' skills and the jobs offered by local companies in Urgell.
The methodology includes direct engagement with the private sector through surveys and focus groups. This data-driven approach will help design new training pathways, ensuring that the workforce is prepared for future economic transformations and technological shifts.
Supported by the Public Employment Service of Catalonia (SOC), UrTalent is part of the Urgell: Objectiu 2030 strategic plan. The project aims to foster a shared governance model to enhance talent retention and boost the overall competitiveness of the region's economy.
