The Creu de Barberà neighborhood, in Sabadell, inaugurates its Major Festival this Friday, an event combining traditions and music, but marked by fire safety measures.

The activation of level IV of the Alfa Plan has forced the organization to modify the scheduled program. This restriction involves the cancellation of all events including pyrotechnics, such as the opening rockets and the final show by the Bruixes del Nord.
Gastronomy will play an important role during the first day. Residents can participate in the 15th Aioli Contest and the 5th Potato Omelet Contest. In addition, the traditional popular sausage feast has been moved forward by half an hour, to 8:30 PM, to allow attendees to watch the Spanish national team match from home.
The weekend will continue with an intense agenda. Saturday highlights include the popular bike ride with a visit to the Central Market, sports activities such as Zumba and self-defense, and the dance night. On Sunday, the focus will be on families with the 31st Lace Makers Meeting, the dog contest, and the concert by the Sabadell Municipal Band, closing the festival with a performance of sea shanties.
