The celebrations were distributed across various points in the city. In Creu Alta, the blessing took place at 12:30 PM, while at La Romànica, Sant Fèlix parish, and La Puríssima, the events began at 12:00 PM. The Santuari de la Mare de Déu de la Salut advanced its blessing to 10:30 AM, allowing for greater participation throughout the morning.
“"We must follow the path of Jesus, a path of loving and life, even in difficult situations like those we experience around the world. Wars often respond to economic and political interests, and in the face of this, more humanity and commitment are needed."
The family atmosphere was one of the distinctive features of the day. Sergio Hurtado, who attended with his wife Helena Polyakova, his friend Alba Rivera, and his daughter Anna, expressed the importance of the tradition. The family highlighted that it was their third time participating in the Creu Alta celebration, always describing it as a "very beautiful spectacle." For little Anna, a special moment was the blessing of the palm her aunt had given her.
Sara Escalante, accompanied by her daughter Amaia, experienced the celebration with emotion, it being her first time in Creu Alta after two decades of celebrating Palm Sunday in Sabadell. She emphasized that it is a "very special moment to enjoy with family and transmit to the younger generations" the meaning of Holy Week.
The family of Jordi Martínez and Estela de la Cruz chose the parish of Sant Vicenç de la Creu Alta, where they baptized their son Máximo a year ago. They stressed that, despite not being regular practitioners, they believe that "traditions like this, so culturally rooted, must be maintained." For Esmeralda Rodríguez and Martín Rodríguez, Palm Sunday is synonymous with family reunion, as they have always celebrated it in Creu Alta, their lifelong parish in the Concòrdia neighborhood.
