The Figueres City Council, the Palafrugell City Council, and the Fundació Pallach have launched the 21st edition of the Josep Pallach Education Awards, recognizing pedagogical and journalistic work until February 28 and April 30, respectively.

The call for the awards, which honor the politician and pedagogue from Figueres, Josep Pallach, maintains the two main categories. The Educational Experiences Award, promoted by Figueres, is endowed with 5,000 euros, while the Journalistic Articles Award on transversal education, promoted by Palafrugell, offers 1,150 euros.
Submissions for the educational experiences category can be made until February 28, and criteria such as pedagogical innovation, originality, ease of application in other centers, and the overall involvement of the center are valued. Journalistic articles can be submitted between February 1 and April 30, seeking analyses that highlight the importance of interaction between various social spheres and educational agents.
In the previous edition, teachers Àngela Reverté and Laura Sanclemente from the Escola Enric Grau Fontseré in Flix (Tarragona) won the experiences award for their project based on the Snoezelen method, focused on sensory stimulation and emotional well-being.
Regarding the journalistic award, Clara Garcia was recognized for an article published in El Ripollès en paper about the project “Ens escrivim?” (We write to each other?), an initiative that fosters intergenerational bonds between seniors and young people in the Vall de Camprodon through letter exchange.
