Approximately 100 students from Nursing, Physiotherapy degrees, and vocational training cycles will undertake professional internships at the Hospital Comarcal de l'Alt Penedès during the current academic year, consolidating their learning.

A total of 100 students will be integrated into the teams at the Hospital Comarcal de l'Alt Penedès (HCAP) throughout this course. Currently, 76 students are already completing or have scheduled their stays, and 24 more are expected to join between now and June. These students primarily come from Nursing, Physiotherapy, and vocational training cycles such as Auxiliary Nursing Care Technician (TCAI) and Diagnostic Imaging and Nuclear Medicine.
Students have the opportunity to intern in all areas of the HCAP. This includes key services such as rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, social work, acute hospitalization, day oncology hospitalization, emergency room, surgical block, outpatient surgery unit, and external consultations. This active immersion allows them to gain firsthand knowledge of the reality of the healthcare system.
On a broader scale, the Consorci Sanitari Alt Penedès-Garraf plans to host a total of 214 students from different levels (university degrees, postgraduate studies, and vocational cycles) distributed across its five centers. The largest volume of students is concentrated in the Nursing Degree, which may involve up to six annual internship periods per student, as they must complete stays in various care settings.
While Nursing students complete multiple short periods, other training programs have different schedules. For example, the TCAI and Health Documentation and Administration (DAS) cycles usually involve more continuous stays, generally extending from January through May or June.
