A man identified as J.A.R.C. was sentenced yesterday, December 17, 2025, to 18 years in prison for continuous sexual abuse of seven minors, including his two daughters, in a plea bargain held at the Audiència de Lleida.

The sentence, resulting from an agreement with the Prosecutor's Office which initially sought 38 years, led to the immediate incarceration of the convicted man at the Centre Penitenciari Ponent. The accused, who resided in Barcelona and had managed a bowling alley in Vielha, was escorted by the Mossos d'Esquadra directly from the courtroom.
The abuses were committed in the Val d'Aran between 2011 and 2020. The highest penalty, eight years, was imposed for the corruption and abuse of his youngest daughter, whom he photographed sexually. For his other daughter, the sentence was set at four years.
Regarding the other five victims, including a niece, three were under 16 at the time of the events and two were between 16 and 17 years old. The court convicted J.A.R.C. of ten crimes, imposing, in addition to the prison sentence, eight years of supervised release and fines totaling 9,000 euros.
In addition to prison and fines, the convicted man must compensate the victims with a total of 43,000 euros. Notably, J.A.R.C. had already been tried on September 24 for a similar case of abuse against a friend of his daughters, from which he was recently acquitted due to lack of evidence.
