The University of Manresa hosted the first edition of the Winter School of the Cooperative Ateneus Network (XAC), gathering more than a hundred professionals to discuss the challenges facing the sector.

The classrooms of the Universitat de Manresa were the venue for the two-day meeting (Tuesday and Wednesday), which brought together participants from the fourteen cooperative ateneus across Catalonia.

This training space is essential for improving the quality of service offered by the cooperative ateneus and addressing the specialized needs of the teams.

The XAC Winter School is established as one of the key annual activities for the network, featuring an ambitious program designed to provide specialized training and enhance internal management capabilities.
The agenda covered crucial topics for the sector, including the application of an intersectional perspective, team leadership and management, cooperative support strategies, transformative communication, and updates on new laws regarding cooperatives and the social economy.
The event also fostered intercooperation, featuring the participation of about ten cooperativists and scholars from Euskal Herria (Basque Country). The XAC, celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, is supported by the Generalitat de Catalunya's Department of Business and Work and the Manresa City Council.
