This accreditation reinforces the commitment of the City Council to digital transformation and the modernization of public administration. The successful audit, conducted on November 29, 2025, confirms that the municipality complies with the legal and technical requirements set by the European eIDAS Regulation.
As a T-CAT Registry Entity (ER-T-CAT), the City Council manages the digital identity of its municipal staff, facilitating the secure issuance of electronic certificates for internal administrative procedures and digital signatures.
The growing volume of certificates underscores the City Council's commitment to offering a more accessible and operational service for both citizens and its internal functioning.
Furthermore, in its role as ER-idCAT, the municipality offers citizens access to these services through the Citizen Attention Office (OAC). Residents can obtain both the idCAT certificate and the idCAT Mobile service, essential tools for carrying out electronic procedures with public administrations.
Data shows a significant increase in the use of these digital services. Over the last five years, the OAC has issued a total of 21,434 idCAT certificates, with 4,687 issued in 2025 alone. Currently, there are 454 active electronic certificates designated for municipal workers and services.
