Pep Guardiola, coach of Manchester City, sent a congratulatory video to the historic Barcelona restaurant Los Caracoles to celebrate its 190th anniversary, revealing it is his favorite gastronomic spot.

Despite Barcelona's spectacular gastronomic offerings, including renowned establishments like ABaC, Botafumeiro, or Via Veneto, the coach from Santpedor holds a special affection for a traditional cuisine classic. Los Caracoles, open since 1835, received a demonstration of unconditional love from Guardiola on the occasion of its anniversary.

"I want to congratulate the Bofarull family, from the Los Caracoles restaurant, for 190 years of history."

In addition to the congratulation, Guardiola confessed that snails are his favorite dish, as his mother always prepared them for him. The establishment, founded by the Bofarull family, is located at number 14 of the carrer dels Escudellers.
When it first opened, the venue was called Can Bofarull, but the fame of its star dish led it to adopt its current name. The restaurant is known for being a meeting point for prominent personalities in art, entertainment, and politics, having hosted international celebrities such as Lenny Kravitz, Robert De Niro, and Joan Miró.
The gastronomic offer at Los Caracoles is purely traditional, highlighting snails, Iberian ham, and fresh seafood. Among the main courses, roasted chicken (pollo a l’ast), suckling pig (cochinillo), oxtail, and Frisian cow steak shine, keeping the authentic Mediterranean tradition of Barcelona alive.
