The Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona presented its 2026 Action and Objectives Plan on Friday, backed by a 6.3 million euro budget, aiming to strengthen destination promotion in strategic European and North American markets.

This strategy, developed in collaboration with the sector, prioritizes proximity markets such as Catalonia, Madrid, Basque Country, Valencia, and Navarra, alongside key European markets: France, the United Kingdom, and the Benelux.
Secondly, the plan will focus on growth and expansion markets like Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Ireland, the United States, and Canada. Opportunity markets, including the Nordic Countries, Italy, and Poland, constitute the third priority.
Planned actions for 2026 include participation in international fairs in cities such as Dublin, Toulouse, Philadelphia, and Mexico City, in addition to commercial meetings in the United States and Canada. The new advertising campaign, "I am the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees, with me you live double," will also be launched.

The 4.5% increase in global spending by foreign tourists in Catalonia confirms the positive dynamics of the sector.

The 2025 balance sheet shows positive figures for Girona tourism, with 8.2 million visitors and a total of 28.4 million overnight stays registered across the Girona regions.
