The Oficina Jove de la Selva launches 17 sessions of the play La Falca in post-compulsory education centers in the region, starting on January 12 in Lloret de Mar, to promote mental health and prevent youth suicide.

The performance, supported by the Ocell de Foc program of the Departament de Drets Socials of the Generalitat de Catalunya, will be held in intermediate and higher vocational training cycles and in Training and Insertion Programs (PFI). The 17 sessions began on Monday, January 12, at the Institut Rocagrossa in Lloret de Mar.
The play La Falca uses the forum theater technique, combining 30 minutes of performance with 30 minutes of discussion with the students. The goal is to raise awareness and generate dialogue, allowing the audience to actively participate by proposing solutions to the family conflicts presented in the play.

"Suicide is the leading cause of non-natural death among young people. Therefore, we work to promote emotional well-being and prevent mental health problems through the Oficina Jove and programs like Ocell de Foc."

Roger Puigdevall · Youth Councillor of the Comarcal Council
In addition to the school performances, the play was already performed on October 10, coinciding with World Mental Health Day, at the Auditori de Santa Coloma de Farners for families. A new public performance will take place on January 30 at the Teatre de Lloret de Mar.
This initiative is part of the Ocell de Foc Gironès i la Selva program, aimed at young people aged 16 to 30 experiencing emotional distress. The program seeks to improve their personal autonomy and facilitate the construction of an independent life.
