The La Solana Center in Tàrrega successfully completed the training phase of the Dual VET welding program, integrating twelve young people into the labor market since January 2025.

The Occupational Dual Vocational Training (FPO Dual) program, specializing in mechanical manufacturing and welding, was managed by the Tàrrega City Council through the La Solana Center. Twelve young people aged between 18 and 25 began the training itinerary in January 2025 and have satisfactorily achieved the objectives of job placement.
The training was carried out through a one-year alternating training contract, formally ending this February, combining classroom and workshop learning with practical experience in sector companies. The participants, many of whom faced their first job experience, received comprehensive support and specific professional guidance.
The itinerary began with electrode welding technique, evolving later towards specialization in MIG/MAG welding, the most demanded by the industrial sector. As an added value, the students carried out real work for the municipality, such as the construction of the new protective railing for the Tàrrega Municipal Sports Pavilion.

"La Solana contributes to offering training in those trades where the business sector has the highest demand."

Núria Robert · Councillor for Economic Promotion, Labor and Tourism
The La Solana Center emphasized that the program's success is measured not only by the qualification obtained but also by the contribution to the personal growth of these young people, who acquire essential skills to enter the labor market.
The positive outcome of the program was made possible thanks to the collaboration of six key local companies: Serralleria i Manteniments Jeman (Anglesola), Ros Roca (Tàrrega), Tallers Vidal i Amill (Anglesola), Mobel Linia (Cervera), Instal·lacions i Maquinària Agroalimentària Oliva (Tàrrega) and Satech Laser (Cervera). This synergy is crucial for adapting the training to the real needs of the region.
