The Polifònica de l’Urgell, the Cor de Cambra Arsinova, and the Orquestra Simfònica Gratia Artis will perform the 19th Three Kings Concert at the Teatre Ateneu de Tàrrega on Sunday, January 11, concluding the holiday cultural program.

This 19th edition of the concert, supported by the Department of Culture, perpetuates the memory of the local musician Àngel Sans, who initiated the event in 2008 and championed it until his death in 2021. The event is a well-established fixture in the cultural calendar of Urgell's capital.
The voices of the Polifònica de l’Urgell will be joined by the Cor de Cambra Arsinova of Barcelona and the Orquestra Simfònica Gratia Artis, which returns under the baton of conductor Salvador Brotons. Soloists include soprano Laura del Río, baritone Joan Garcia, and clarinetist Ionas Mercadal.

"We are preparing a very special interpretation of a composition by Pau Casals in memory of the great musician and also defender of democracy and human rights."

Marta Sans · Spokesperson for the Polifònica de l’Urgell
The musical program will feature a selection of waltzes by composers such as Strauss and Txaikovski, as well as popular opera fragments by Mozart, Verdi, Rossini, Puccini, and Donizetti. The repertoire will be completed with Christmas carols specially arranged by director Salvador Brotons. Furthermore, the Estudi Dansa Tàrrega, celebrating its tenth anniversary, will contribute choreographic moments directed by Mercè Freixas.
