Arrested on the AP-7 in Alt Empordà after crashing a car stolen in Zaragoza

The two men, aged 29 and 30, overturned the vehicle near Agullana; the driver tested positive for drugs.

The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested two men on Wednesday in Alt Empordà who were driving a car stolen in Zaragoza and caused an accident on the AP-7 motorway.

The incident took place in the municipality of Agullana, when the stolen vehicle rear-ended a French-registered motorhome, ending up overturned in the middle of the road.

The driver of the stolen vehicle was also arrested for a crime against road safety, as he tested positive for drugs, specifically cocaine and THC.

Officers confirmed that the car had been reported stolen in the city of Zaragoza. The two occupants, aged 29 and 30, were arrested for vehicle theft and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Despite the seriousness of the crash, the detainees sustained minor injuries. The occupants of the motorhome, however, were unharmed in the incident.
