The council stated that the decision was made “as an act of responsibility and moral commitment, with the willingness to give an opportunity to dialogue and the concretization of the adopted agreements”. Participants included representatives from CatSalut, the Government Delegate in Penedès, the manager of CSAPG, and the president of the Governing Council, discussing service portfolio, accessibility, and quality of care.
“"We want to highlight among the agreed measures that an external process audit will be carried out, aimed at analyzing the service portfolio of the CSAPG, detecting territorial needs and imbalances, and defining an improvement plan based on transparency, efficiency, and equity."
Labor representatives emphasized that this audit is essential to guarantee quality and proximity public healthcare in the Alt Penedès region. Furthermore, the CSAPG manager committed to maintaining fluid communication and negotiation spaces with the Works Council to foster effective collaboration.
The intention to boost the hospital's growth with new specialized services and technological advancements was also confirmed. Efforts will be made towards its conversion into a university hospital, consolidating its strategic role in the Penedès region.
The Works Council reaffirmed its commitment to monitor the fulfillment of these agreements, warning that if the objectives are not met within a reasonable timeframe, they will resume mobilization to defend the interests of the hospital and the citizens.
